The emergency brake handle should travel approximately six to seven inches when pulled back and up. If the brake is not preventing the Sparrow from moving or rolling, adjust it using this procedure.
NOTE: For image clarity, the seat bottom and door panel have been removed. It is not necessary to remove these two items to perform this procedure.

To the rear of the emergency brake mechanism you will find a black flexible cable connected to a threaded rod. On the threaded rod, there are two nuts. Use two, 7/16" wrenches to adjust the emergency brake.
Step 2

Turn the front nut clockwise, and the back nut counterclockwise. Pull up on the emergency brake handle to determine travel distance. Repeat this step until the brake is properly adjusted.
