If you need to change a tire, make sure you pull out of traffic onto a
well-lit, flat surface. Place an object (rock, log, etc.) either in front of or
behind a non-flat tire to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
Step 1
The Sparrow does not have an on-board spare tire. In the event of a tire puncture, we recommend that you use "fix-a-flat" or similar product, which will re-inflate your tire temporarily. Bring your Sparrow to a service station to have a puncture repaired.
Turn off electrical power to the Sparrow by pushing down on the red emergency button located in the vehicle's interior.
Located on the inner hub of the wheel, you will find a small slot.
Step 5
Insert a #2 straight slot screwdriver into the slot and twist. The inside
cap will pop off. Set the cap aside.
Step 6
Use a 5/8" socket (or 5/8" lugnut wrench) to loosen, but not completely remove, each of the four lug nuts.
Step 7
Never allow a jack to have direct contact with the body of your Sparrow. Serious damage could occur. Always use "soft pads" such as a board or tightly packed wad of rags, etc. as a buffer to distribute the pressure and reduce stress at the jack's point of contact.
With the wheel turned out slightly, insert the jack between the wheel and the
Sparrow frame. Be careful not to scratch the Sparrow's exterior with the
jack.
Slowly raise the Sparrow with the jack until the tire no longer contacts the
ground (pavement)
Step 8
Completely remove each of the four lug nuts.
Step 9
Roll the flat tire away from the car.
Install a new tire by reversing the steps in this procedure.
