Each Sparrow battery is rated 60 amp hours at C20 (constant amp discharge
over a 20-hour period) and 45 amp hours at C1 (constant amp discharge over a
one-hour period).
Therefore, 45 amp hours multiplied by 156 volts (thirteen 12-volt batteries)
equals 7,020 watt hours or 7.02 kilowatt hours (1,000 watts per kilowatt). In
order to recharge your batteries when they are fully discharged, it will take
7.5 to 8.0 kilowatt hours. This is approximately 10 percent to 15 percent more
than you expended because of the variable energy loss of the battery charger,
battery chemistry, battery pack balance, the controller, ambient temperature,
electrical outlet, charging cord, etc.
Check your electrical bill to determine your cost per kilowatt hour. Then you
can calculate the cost for a full recharge
